Slow,heavy,impending metal
As I said in another article,more about my station later...ok its later. I am presently into a genre called doom which is very slow,very heavy and very non commercial. You will never hear this music on your Fm dial and thats fine with me because I as well as thousands of other people dont even touch the Fm dial anymore. The music started with Black Sabbath ...listen to theyre first album.From that grew a form of metal not like anything else before. Bands were inspired to take the Sabbath style and make something new from it..such as Pentagram,candlemass,cathedral,rev bizzare,burning witch and the list goes on even today. If you are familiar with death metal then doom is a hundred times slower.The vocals are growling or clean and clear.It depends on the musicians performing it .Doom also has cellos,female vocalists,keyboards,choirs.Its much different from the pop metal the corporates play......detuned guitars,screaming,mindless lryrics if you know what i mean. As i listen to more of this music the less i want to hear the so called metal the radio plays.My station touches on some of the new bands and the legends that started it all. For more info click link.
